Day 30

On the last day of her 30 day outfit challenge, Finley wore a long sleeved white top with two dancing ballerina mice on the front. There is cute pink bow detail to accent their little tutus. On the bottom she wore light gray leggings. For footwear, she wore pink MukLuks from Sean and Miranda, friends of Michael's. As with all shirts, because they ride up on her, Finley wore a bodysuit underneath her outfit so that she would be warm.

Day 29

Today, Finley is wearing a turquoise tunic with fabric flowers at the neck. The material is lightweight and soft. Her matching leggings are Navy blue with multicolored flowers. The leggings are nice and long and also really soft. This outfit brings out the color in her eyes!

Day 28

Finley is wearing a dark pink long sleeved bodysuit that is a waffle weave material. Her pants have a nickname around our house: "Hammer Time." They are pink with white polka dots and a high waist. The middle of the pants flare out and the bottom of them are gathered. There are pretty embroidered flowers at the bottom of one leg. They are unique with a lot of cool details. They ride up and sometimes look like petal pushers. Finley feels stylish in them, which of course is what matters.

Day 27

Today's outfit is a hot pink matching hoodie with comfortable fleece pants. On the inside of the hood, there is a white background with pink and orange flowers. There's also a flower on the chest. The two little pockets on the front have a flower at the top. Topping off this ensemble is a light pink knitted hat with colored hearts in the perfect size for Finley's head. Finley felt cozy hanging out at home and stayed warm and comfy when she headed out!

Day 26

Finley wore her long sleeved "Rock Star" playsuit with her pink sneaker socks today. She felt so awesome that she was like, "Let's go get sushi for dinner" and we did.

Day 25

Valentine's Day may be yesterday's news, but when you're an adorable baby girl, pink is forever! Finley wore a cozy matching outfit with a pink and white striped fleece jacket with a flower pull at the zipper. The cuffed sleeves are white with pink polka dots. It also has a small dark pink flower on the chest. The pink pants also have the white cuff with pink polka dots. She wore her brown heathered bodysuit underneath, an extra layer of warmth and cuteness.

OC Day 24

Her outfit and smile scream LOVE LOVE LOVE! Finley is wearing a tea length brick red sleeveless dress with white polka dots and red ribbon detail and a full skirt. Underneath it, she wears a white long sleeve bodysuit with a pink rose at the top. Pink tights and black Mary Janes with sheer pink ribbon bows complete her Day of Hearts look. Happy Valentine's Day!

Day 23

As Valentine's week comes to a crux, Finley has shot an arrow to the moon with her red and white ensemble. Her soft white bodysuit with long sleeves says "I Love You" in a big heart. There is an elephant. There are red bow accents and the sleeves and collar are accented in red too. She wore red leggings with black Mary Jane feet. And a fluffy red and white polka dotted tutu. Valentine's Day is approaching and she is ready and waiting with a smiling heart!

Day 22

Today, Finley wore a white long sleeved bodysuit with a little pink rose at the neck underneath red and white striped cozy pants with feet. Each foot has a red heart at the end, topped with a white bow. How very Valentine's Week! And, from the looks of this picture, Finley's ready for a hug!

Day 21

Today's picture is not one that was taken in the normal place. That is because the outfit only lasted a very short time before needing to be changed. I try to snap a picture as soon as Finley gets dressed, just in case. This outfit is a tie-dyed pink bodysuit with a big heart on the front, with light denim jeans that have hearts at the foot and a distressed hem at the bottom. She wore a light pink sweater with tiny buttons over her bodysuit and striped socks. Again with jeans, the long and lean style gave Finley some trouble when she was getting dressed, but she powered through it because that's just how she is.

Day 20

Finley wore a beautiful red velvet one piece outfit today. It has cascading cross snaps and a very pretty red bow at the top. The silver detail is hearts and snowflakes. She looked so comfortable and warm when she headed off to church this morning. She received compliments on her Valentine-appropriate look.

Day 19

Today, Finley wore three different outfits. This is the one that we took her picture in. It's a sleeper with bows, snaps, and a beautiful rose pattern. It's a very, very light shade of blue. The matching hat sends this one over the top with adorable-ness.

Day 18

Kicking off the Seven Days of Valentine, Finley is wearing a long sleeved pink tee shirt with dark pink buttons at the neck, a feature she loves. The shirt has a dark pink heart pattern and dark pink cuffs. To deal with the riding-up issue, and for warmth purposes, she is wearing a simple white bodysuit underneath. On the bottom, she is wearing brown velour pants. Keeping her little feet warm are brown socks with colored flowers on them.

Special Insert: Valentine's Week!

It's Valentine's Week! Finley is bursting with love every day, but we are feeling especially celebratory at this lovey dovey time of year. So Finley will be celebrating the seven days of Valentine with a sweet Valentine's themed outfit. As always, feel free to do it along with her! Bring out those pink or red wardrobe pieces...extra points for anything with hearts :)

Day 17

The day started off clear and cool. Finley wore her super soft light pink and white striped dress. It's the same dress she wore in her birth announcement photo. Since she is six inches taller now, and it's Winter, she wore dark denim leggings underneath it and a very cozy light pink hooded jacket with snaps on top. She completed her outfit with cozy boots. She wanted an outfit that would be fashionable, yet would travel well since she spent some time in the car yesterday, going to Portland to have lunch with my friend and I.

Day 16

Today, Finley wore a pair of her jeans that probably won't fit for much longer. The length is great, but the waist, well...I am pretty sure she was making panting noises as I was wrenching them up. It's like, they were already halfway up, it would be just as much work to take them off. Michael seems to believe that the challenge is her thighs. Anyway, today she is wearing her light denim jeans with a button fly and very cute detail on the pockets. They have very cute back pockets too. She's got this paired with her light pink long sleeved onesie with some sort of hybrid animal on the front. It says "I'm this Cute." It's a nice shade of pink and I like the purple accent. The best part is how soft it is and it's sized generously. The neckline also has sweet ruffle detail. She is wearing her pink sneaker socks. Those get worn often, since they stay on and go with everything. This is a huggable outfit, but is also ready for anything.

Day 15

Today, Finley wore her tan and white animal print hoodie with the matching white pants. The whole outfit is very soft and cozy. Underneath it, she wore a red onesie to match the white kitty with pink and red accents on the hoodie. She also wore her tan socks with a tennis shoe pattern. Today marks the halfway point with her outfit challenge!

Day 14

Finley has been on a spate of wearing sweet baby girl outfits lately. She wants us to remember that she's little, not big. Today she wore the sweetest pink cross snap top with ruffled edges and a butterfly on the front. The matching white pants have butterflies in classic pastels. In the background are pink roses that remind me of toille, too subtle to be seen in this picture. The top is a bit short on her so she wore a white onesie underneath to make sure she stayed covered up. This was a pretty, feminine, and quite snuggleable ensemble, sent to us by my friend Erica in a box of beautiful, pre-loved outfits when I started to treasure snap outfits with feet!

Day 13

The sweetness of the fabrics and look of Finley's outfit was pretty impossible to catch on camera today. The material made the dress not stay down when Finley was kicking and squirming. The dress is a soft crepe-y cotton in the sweetest bubble gum pink color. This dress is special because it was worn by Finley's cousin Katarina on her first birthday! I remember Kat getting changed out of her zoo outfit and into this one to open Her birthday presents. But I digress. To stay warm today, a white long sleeved onesie with a pink rosette at the top was layered underneath the dress. On the bottom, Finley wore white tights with a rose at the bottom, near each foot. To complete her outfit for church, she wore a very soft crocheted sweater in a coordinating shade of pink with white yarn. I love the roses at the bottom of the tights so much that I didn't cover them up by putting shoes on her today. You can't see them in the pictures, though!

Day 12

I came close to repeating a pair of pants today. Michael, however, reminded me that this challenge has a purpose. That purpose is to have Finley in a different pair of her pants every day. So, after a change of heart, she changed into her dark wash jeans with ruffles at the bottom. These jeans have a snap and zipper at the top, real pockets and little belt loops. I remember shopping while I was pregnant and Michael fell in love with these jeans at the store. He knew he absolutely had to get them for her, even before she was born. Underneath her jeans, she wore a hot pink onesie with a cupcake on it. Over it, she wore a beautiful blue cardigan with vertical ruffle detail. On her head she had a white hair band with her hot pink, black and white animal print bow. Before she left the house for her adventure day, she put on gray cozy chenille socks and her pink and white sneakers.

Day 11

Finley wore a cozy and sweet light pink velour cross snap top with the matching pants today The perfect outfit for going to lunch with her Daddy. She stayed warm and looked cute as a button. The pants are a cream color with pink detail and a pink pattern on them. While she was out she wore pink socks. She also was comfortable in the afternoon when she was hanging out in her baby carrier while shopping for new clothes with Mama.

Day 10

Today's outfit is a brown velour hoodie with adorable embroidered flowers and vertical pink and brown ruffles. She is wearing a dark pink and white plaid romper underneath it. The matching velour pants have layers of ruffles on the back and pink thread at the bottom cuffs and seam. They are long and cozy, though they're riding up a bit in this picture. The brown color with pink looks especially nice with Finley's dark hair!

Day 9

Finley was wearing her very cute Special Traveling Outfit this morning, the outfit she wore when she traveled to Santa Barbara. The one she had to get changed out of at Sea-Tac Airport. This morning, again, she had to be changed out of it before I could take her Day 9 picture. She wore a sweet and cozy pink and off white jacket and pants set for her outing today, and then put this cute sleeper on after her bath. It has gray polka dots and the feet are like ballet slippers. This adorable sleeper was given to her by her Grandma Julie when she came to meet her in October.

Day 8

Bringing a bit of Spring to a dreary Winter day was Finley in her long lavender frock. It has very subtle pinstripes in light sky blue and off-white embroidered flowers on the bottom. To battle the cool temps for her grocery store outing, she wore an Ivory ribbed onesie and Ivory footed pants, perfect for slipping cozy boots over. The first thing her dad said when he got home was, "You look so pretty, Finley!" Finley says being cute is all in a day's work.

Day 7

Today's outfit is a tunic with matching leggings, in shades of dark and light plum. The detail on the pieces makes it unique. The shoulders of the tunic have an adorable exaggerated ruffle and the front of it has three fabric bows in the same pattern as the leggings. The back of the leggings have three layers of striped ruffles. The top is soft fleece with warm and cozy polar fleece on the inside. The leggings are cotton with a bit of stretch. She will wear footwear when we leave the house, and because of this she is wearing pink and white comfy socks because they stay on.

Day 6

This morning, Finley wore this outfit to church. It is a purple velvet dress with Ivory and pink embroidery on the bottom and matching shoes. Because it is in the 30's here, she wore an Ivory ribbed longsleeve onesie and Ivory tights with a ruffle butt underneath her dress. I knew she would probably sleep while at church so today she wore just her beautiful hair to top off her outfit, no hats or bows. After church she changed into a pretty patterned sleeper with a collar, but unfortunately the outfit was not on long enough to take a picture. She is sorry for any inconvenience.

Day 5

Today, Finley is wearing a very soft velour long sleeved blouse with super cute light animal print, a collar, and a pink bow accent. Her pants are my favorite shade of ballet pink and thickly quilted. Though snug in the waist, they are long on her, so until she chooses her shoes for the day, they are cuffed. Being that it is Saturday, today's outfit is ready to go out in a bit with Daddy and Mama to find some adventure!

Day 4

Finley was feeling sassy for her Friday night pizza date with Daddy and Mama, so she wore this animaltastic outfit. The hot pink velour top paired with light grey cheetah print leggings was the perfect match for her Little Maven Ivory fur boots. She topped off her outfit with a hot pink headband/gray flower combo. Definitely a baby head turner.

Day 3

Finley wore a few different outfits today, but eventually changed into this ensemble. It's a long sleeved patchwork style T that has the word "Little" embroidered on one side. She wore it with soft leggings that have gray and white tiny stripes, given to her by Grandma, Michael's mom, when she visited us in October. On Finley's feet are green and white polka dotted slippers with rattles, of which one has been kicked off. A good outfit for a day spent at home, with aspirations of going out that never quite took off. Tomorrow's another day!

Day 2

Today's outfit was chosen by Michael. It's the pink/purple version of yesterday's ensemble. Please note the short sleeves over long sleeves style repeated here and see the part of yesterday's post about Michael liking that style. The onesie says, fittingly, "Cute as a Cupcake." Today's pants are a hot pink legging with ruffle trim at the ankle. Socks are white with a shoe look pattern in a fruit print. It's the perfect outfit to look cute in while hanging out at home waiting for the ice to thaw.

Welcome to Finley's Challenge!

It started with pants. I was trying to pick an outfit for Finley this morning and was feeling indecisive. I thought about how I've been putting her in the same things lately and wanted to do something different. So I laid out all the pants. I counted them, but no way am I going to share the number here. Forget it. I wrote to my friend to joke about how many pants Finley has and she joked that I should start a blog about it. Thanks. Soooooo, welcome to Finley's 30 day outfit challenge. Today's outfit is a onesie with long sleeves in the "short sleeves over long sleeves" style which Michael is a huge fan of. She is wearing it with the matching cozy fleece pants, both given to her by her Grammy (my mom) for Christmas. The sneaker socks were my niece's and were sent to Finley by my sister in law, Susanne. Cute AND they stay on!
